Massage Therapy Techniques

Myofascial release

A technique focused on pain caused by sensitivity and tightness in your myofascial (muscle) tissues. A gentle and sustained pressure into the restricted tissue restores motion and reduces pain.

Trigger point

Trigger points are often referred to as 'knots'. Trigger point therapy is used by applying prolonged pressure on these areas to release tension and tightness in your muscles.

 Pin and stretch

This technique includes moving a muscle through its range of motion. This helps to release the muscle tension and remove any built-up adhesions or scar tissue.

Swedish massage

Swedish massage is the most common/classic massage style. This style includes long strokes of kneading and tapping to help release the muscles.

Deep Tissue

Deep tissue massage can be used for chronic issues or very stubborn muscles that need to be released. This can be used for any muscle strains, low back pain, neck pain, and more.

Relaxation

A relaxation massage is for anyone looking to unwind from their day-to-day activities. Some benefits include reducing stress, and improving your mood, all while relieving pain.

Sports

Sports massage therapy is targeted at athletes or anyone involved in playing sports! The focus is on releasing muscle tension while improving the range of motion for better performance.

Prenatal

Prenatal massages are focused on how the body changes as you go through pregnancy. A prenatal massage can help relieve many aches and pains during pregnancy. The practitioner will use a variety of pillows to support you and the baby throughout the massage.
